DVDpedia: folder not refreshed when collections in it change

Hi Nora and Conor, I created a folder with some smart collections in it in order to create more complex filters than the smart collection criteria allow. Recently I noticed that the folder does not reflect all the changes in the contained smart collections (e.g. additional movies) until I actually c...

Re: Using the uidNaming meta tag with HTML exports

Hi Conor, Thanks for your quick response. I had just edited my original post when I noticed that you had already replied to it. Man, you're fast  For my purposes it would be great if the file name was identical to the collection name, for example "scifi.html" if the collection name ...

Using the uidNaming meta tag with HTML exports

Hello again, I've got another small question I wanted to ask you. In DVDpedia I'm using the "uidNaming" meta tag in multiple HTML exports in order to create separate pages for various categories: <meta name="uidNaming" content="yes" /> At the end of each export DVDpedia...

Re: Removing IF Statement tags in HTML Export

That's great! The tags for the empty fields are removed now. Speed-wise it feels slightly slower than before, but I've got a bit over 500 movies so exporting the detail pages plus cover images takes a while anyway.

Anyway, thank you so much for this quick fix. You're the greatest :D

Removing IF Statement tags in HTML Export

Hiya, I'm trying to include IF Statement tags in an HTML Export from DVDpedia. The idea is to add the German movie title to the HTML "title" attribute of an <img> tag but leave it out if the field with the German movie title (in my case "custom3") does not contain any data. In th...

Re: Smart Collections with AND and OR operators

then create a second smart collection that was "movie is in collection 'kid movies' AND format is DVD". Hi Conor, Thanks for the tip. See, I wasn't aware that this was possible  . I guess, I'll have to look through all the possibilities of DVDpedia in more detail first. Cool, looks...

Re: Getting iSight to work

Hi, I had the same problem with my MacBook pro with internal iSight. After a bit of experimenting, I found that I get the best results in daylight. In artificial lighting it's next to impossible to get the barcode recognised. (And if it does get recognised, the search result for the barcode is somet...

Re: Smart Collections with AND and OR operators

Sorry, it's me again. I guess, it was too late for me yesterday to think clearly  I solved the problem myself: First, I created a new folder. In this new folder I created 4 Smart Collections, one for each rating I wanted listed PLUS the filter criterium "Format is DVD". (With "M...

Smart Collections with AND and OR operators

Hiya, First of all, thanks for this great piece of software. I've got almost 500 DVD's and a number of old VHS cassettes and I used to organise them using a hand-made Access database. Do I really have to point out how much easier DVDpedia is to use?!? :D There is one addition, however, which would h...
